Meet Our 2026 Community Service Scholarship Recipient Nick McDevitt
We are pleased to introduce Nicholas (Nick) McDevitt, a graduating senior at David W. Butler High School. Nick was selected from numerous impressive applicants to receive our $3,000 college scholarship. Our review committee were impressed by his passion for serving others and know that his life of service will continue to impact many peers & strangers as he continues his education at N.C. State in the fall.

The Daniel B. Kellas Community Service Scholarship is named in honor & loving memory of a past member of our club who was dedicated to improving the lives of children & teens. Each March, the application is opened to any graduating senior from our partner high schools - currently David W. Butler High School & Providence Senior High.
The primary consideration is seeking a student who demonstrates a commitment to serving others, whether in school or within their community. We present a $3,000 award, with $2,500 being paid directly the the recipient's tuition account and the remaining $500 directly to the recipient.
